ABOUT LUNAR NEW YEAR:

Lunar New Year, also known as Spring Festival, is a joyous celebration observed by billions of people across East and Southeast Asia. Its origins can be traced back to ancient China, where it marked the end of the harvest and the beginning of a new year based on the lunar calendar. Over time, the traditions and customs associated with Lunar New Year have evolved and diversified, but the core values of family reunions, ancestor veneration, and ushering in good luck and prosperity remain constant.

The holiday is observed with great fervor in China, Vietnam, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and other countries with significant East and Southeast Asian populations. Each region has its own unique twist on the traditions, adding a delightful layer of cultural diversity to the festivities.
